RESEARCHER, DIRECTOR, VIDEOGRAPHER
I wore many hats while producing two series for the ITS YouTube Channel.
For the cybersecurity series, research was a crucial step in the process to ensure accurate and up-to-date information was shared with viewers. It was important I wrote scripts where viewers not only grasped the technicalities of cyber threats but also stayed engaged. Since Florida State students were my primary audience, I worked with interns within the ITS department for filming. Post-production was always a joy because I got to see all the pieces come together as I edited footage and recorded the voice over.
Through the Student Technology Fee series, I had the unique opportunity of collaborating with departments across FSU’s campus. Every week I would generate new video leads via email since it was essential to staying on schedule. Once a filming date was decided, I would research the new technology and prepare several questions to send to the interviewees. Filming for this series allowed me to explore different colleges within FSU. After editing the b-roll and interviews together, I would send the video to the faculty lead for final approval.
